At dawn the Sassi present themselves in bright colours that acquire more and more tone as the sun rises, this visual spectacle can be experienced during breakfast with a view of the Sassi or throughout the morning while sipping a cup of tea or coffee or perhaps at any time of the day, before or after a visit to the nearby churches of Santa Maria de Idris or Santa Lucia alle Malve, enjoying the feeling of peace and tranquillity while admiring the Murgia park with the fluttering of swallows and crickets is priceless.

The spectacle becomes even more beautiful, in our opinion, when, at sunset, the natural light of the sun begins to disappear and the lights of the cave houses, shops and premises begin to illuminate the Sassi, making the scenery exciting and enveloping, almost reminiscent of a Christmas crib. Seeing this image of the sunset during an aperitif or a drink with your fellow travellers or alone is definitely our advice.
